How the Skamania County Court Calendar Works
Skamania County Superior Court puts its upcoming dockets on the court's official court page. Treat those lists as a courtesy, nothing more. The county itself warns that times can shift. Some dockets may be left off. A date missing today could appear later. Jury trials and juvenile dockets never show up there. A blank page or a name that's absent proves nothing about whether a Skamania County court hearing is set.
One level up, the local annual calendar comes from the court administrator or a designee. That person works under the Klickitat and Skamania Superior Court rules. Attorneys and Law and Justice offices get it. The county website makes it public. The administrator can adjust the scheduled days or times. Here's the twist that trips people up. Skamania and Klickitat share a single Superior Court judge. That judge alternates weekly between the two county seats. The courthouse address alone won't tell you the rhythm of the dates.
District and municipal matters run on their own calendars too. County staff may handle paperwork for a Skamania County District Court case, a Stevenson Municipal Court case, or a North Bonneville Municipal Court case. Yet each court keeps its own identity. Get the court name right first, then verify the setting.
Skamania County Calendar Sources
Official routes into the Skamania County court schedule come from several doors. The county Superior Court page posts docket notices. Washington's Search Case Records and Find My Court Date tool reaches District, municipal, Superior, and appellate courts at once. For Superior Court hearings alone, the Odyssey Portal offers its own search. Every route plays a different role. None of them beats a call to court staff when a hearing is days away.
| Source | Coverage | Best use |
|---|---|---|
| County Superior page | Posted Superior dockets | Review the local courtesy list |
| Find My Court Date | District, municipal, and Superior paths | Search by court and case details |
| Odyssey hearings | Skamania Superior Court | Filter by case, party, or courtroom |
| Court clerk | The maintained court file | Confirm an urgent setting |
Clerks feed the statewide database about every 24 hours. It is reference data, not the official record. Note the court name, case number, and search date with anything you pull from it.
Skamania County Court Date Lookups
Pull out the notice, citation, or case number first. It should name Skamania County Superior Court, Skamania County District Court, Stevenson Municipal Court, or North Bonneville Municipal Court. Then go to that court's own channel.
- Check the county Superior Court page for a posted Superior setting.
- Use Find My Court Date for District or municipal settings. For Superior Court, search by county, case type, filing year, and last name.
- Search Odyssey for a Superior hearing by case number, party, business, attorney, judicial officer, courtroom, or date range.
- Call the County Clerk at 509-427-3770 for Superior Court, or District Court at 509-427-3782 for District and serviced municipal matters.
- Visit the right clerk counter when online results fail. Both county offices are at 240 NW Vancouver Ave in Stevenson; District Court is in Room 35.
A mailed records request works well for copies but poorly for a same-day date check. The county offers no daily printed calendar and no local public terminal. Ask court staff before counting on either.
Note: For a near-term Skamania County court date, phone verification is safer than treating a static online list as final.
Skamania County Motion Calendar Timing
The Superior Court local calendar rule sorts settings into slots. Criminal motions draw 9:00 a.m. Civil motions get 1:30 p.m. Ex parte or adoption matters sit at 8:30 a.m. Those hours describe the regular local structure only. A specific matter can still be unset. Take the times as a framework rather than a promise.
Paperwork has deadlines too. A written motion citation or request for a regular Skamania motion calendar generally must land before 5:00 p.m. on the preceding Monday. A special calendar uses a third-day cutoff. That's why a hearing you requested may not show up right away. Read the docket entry, the filed notice, and the clerk's confirmation as one picture.
Holiday recess. Local Rule 2 sets a winter recess from December 24 through January 2, with no contested cases or trials except by consent or court order.
Court Settings: What Each Field Means
A setting marks an event on the calendar. It says nothing about whether the event happened or how the case resolved. Read the whole Skamania County setting against the newest notice or docket event. Lookalike names turn up often. Lean on the case number and court.
| Date | The day assigned to the hearing. A continued or stricken entry may replace an earlier date. |
|---|---|
| Time | The listed start or docket-call time, not always the instant an individual matter is heard. |
| Courtroom | The room or hearing location. Odyssey also supports a courtroom filter. |
| Judge | The assigned judicial officer. Skamania and Klickitat share a Superior Court judge. |
| Setting Type | The event kind, such as a motion, arraignment, trial, or ex parte matter. |
Check the court, date, time, location, and case number before you show up. The Skamania County docket search can pull the case history behind a setting.
Skamania County Municipal Court Days
North Bonneville runs on its own clock. Its municipal court structure rule sets court days on the first, third, and fifth Monday. When a Monday is a holiday, court moves to Tuesday. You'll find the court at North Bonneville City Hall, 214 CBD Mall. The pattern makes planning easier, but confirm the actual setting before you go.
Stevenson Municipal Court works through Skamania District Court under an interlocal agreement. It sits in Room 35 at the county courthouse. A Stevenson case stays municipal. District Court staff field the questions and keep the record.
- SKD
- Skamania District Court's JIS code.
- SVM
- Stevenson Municipal Court's code.
- NBM
- North Bonneville Municipal Court's code.
When a Court Date Moves
A continuance moves a hearing to another day. It does not end the case. The same goes for a stricken event. That simply comes off the calendar and settles nothing about the charge. Check later docket entries and any order actually filed before drawing a conclusion. One more wrinkle deserves attention. The statewide search can lag behind the clerk's own entry. A Skamania County courtesy list can shift the moment a new setting is added.
Short on time? Compare the Superior Court docket with Odyssey, then call the County Clerk. For District Court or a municipal matter, use Find My Court Date. Then contact that court directly. An old calendar entry never gives you permission to skip a new one.
Remote appearances deserve the same caution. Superior Court rarely live-streams proceedings unless it directs otherwise. Active parties may request Zoom access. Protection-order requests need at least three judicial days of lead time. The court can still require you to appear in person.
Skamania County Court Hours
Superior Court doors are open 9:00 a.m. to noon, then 1:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Recesses fall at about 10:30 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. Those gaps explain why the daily schedule looks the way it does. They do not set the time for any given case, so rely on the actual Skamania County court date entry instead.
Before you go, note the courtroom rules. The Superior Court page bars weapons, food, and drink, and bags may be searched. Joining remotely? Follow the posted Zoom instructions and log in about ten minutes early. For questions about terminals, parking, or other accommodations, ask court staff.
Missed Settings and What Comes Next
Missed a setting? Act fast. Call the clerk listed on the case. Give the case number, your name, and the missed date. Ask what the docket now records and whether a new appearance has been set. If a lawyer represents you, contact that lawyer right away.
Missed a setting? A failure to appear or respond may lead to a warrant, court order, added penalty, or licensing consequence, depending on the matter.
Call the County Clerk for Superior Court or District Court for District and serviced municipal cases as soon as possible.
Seek advice from a licensed lawyer when a warrant, protection order, deadline, or other urgent issue may be involved.
An online code cannot tell you the outcome. Public data may sit incomplete or a day behind. The clerk's file is the authority on the current court schedule and on anything entered after the missed hearing.
Skamania County Remote Court Settings
A remote link does not replace the courthouse for every hearing. Under Superior Court instructions, active parties may request a Zoom appearance. Spectators attend in the courtroom. There is no general live stream unless the court directs one. So check the appearance method listed on each Skamania County court setting every time.
The posted policy, effective January 1, 2024, charges a $25 request fee. Waivers cover dependency matters, protection orders, unlawful-detainer respondents, and indigent parties. Protection-order requests still need at least three judicial days. Confirm the current policy with the court. It may require you to appear in person.
